AGDEN Plays a Crucial Role during Eval4Action Campaign 2021. EvalPartners launched the Decade of Evaluation for Action, also known as the Eval4Action campaign, which calls upon all actors, everywhere
to accelerate the delivery of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), by advocating for stronger evaluation capacities and evidence- based policies. AGDEN was a major player in making commitments to influential evaluation and in continuous capacity building from both the demand and supply sides. AGDEN members made statements of the work that AGDEN has done in line with the theme of Eval4Action of leaving no one behind in evaluation, particularly of the SDGs. Dr. Awuor Ponge recorded a video in which he highlighted some of the work that AGDEN has done, especially under the project: “Expanding Democratic Spaces for more Inclusive and Equitable Governance: Integrating Gender-Responsiveness and Equity-Focus into Legislation through Evaluation”. The purpose of the project and particularly the training workshop for the Parliamentarians was: To equip champions among parliamentarians with cognitive tools for better tracking (monitoring) of gender equity in bills, policies and programmes; to improve use of monitoring and evaluation and evidence by legislators; and to enhance appreciation of the importance of gender-responsive and equity-focused monitoring and evaluation in national development strategies i.e. Kenya Vision 2030, African Union (AU) Agenda 2063 and UN Agenda
